(En.) Recently, in another post, I commented in Spanish that I was going to buy these $95.00 professional set of brushes. Well, I recieved it for Three Kings' Day. It was one of my gifts. And guess what? They are super soft and excellent. I thought they were going to be a little rough but since they are Dior, what else can you expect?!. They really are amazing. If you love to travel, these were made for you. The set contains 5 star travel - sized brushes. ////

(Es.) En una anterior publicación, comenté que compraría el estuche de brochas de $95.00 dólares. Bueno pues los Reyes Magos se me adelantaron y me lo regalaron. Les cuento que son maravillosas, súper suaves y excelentes para maquillarte. Si te gusta viajar mucho son para ti. Pensé que tal vez serían rudas, pero me sorprendieron. Claro está, es Dior. Obvio que son estupendas. El estuche te trae 5 brochas.

 

(En.) They belong to the Dior Backstage Brushes line and believe me they will help you recreate the techniques Makeup Artists use for a full makeup look. In the end you will have a professional makeup finish. Since makeup is kind of new for me, I want to make the most of everything. I am no expert but hope to be one someday. I have seen some brushes in stores but when I touch them, are so rough and horrible to use that it takes away the fun of using makeup. These ones are different. /////

 

(Es.) Ellas pertenecen a la colección que utiliza Dior para sus desfiles y créanme que te ayudarán a recrear ese estilo profesional que buscas. No soy una maquillista profesional pero espero poder recrear alguna técnica o lucir el maquillaje como toda una profesional. Espero que también lo puedas hacer en tu casa o a donde vayas. En las tiendas que he ido, las brochas son duras y pesadas, como malas, pero estas no son así. El proceso de maquillarte debe ser uno divertido y no una pesadilla ni tampoco experiencia traumática.

 

 

The first one is: The powder brush. //// La primera es la brocha para polvo.

 

(En.) First you swift the powder onto the forehead, nose and chin. And then begin from the center of the face to the outwards. You can use it too for applying the blush to the cheekbones. /////

 

(Es.) Primero, te pasas suavemente en la frente, nariz y barbilla con la brocha el polvo. Luego lo esparces desde el centro de la cara hacia los extremos. Recuerda que también puedes usar esta brocha para aplicarte el colorete. 

 

 

(En.) Then, after you clean it, put the cover again to preserve it. //// (Es.) Luego de limpiarlas, la colocas en su correspondiente envoltura para preservarla.

 

 

And the second brush is: The Fluid Foundation Brush. //// Y la segunda brocha es para aplicarte la base líquida que tengas.

 

(En.) When using this brush, start from the center of the face outwards and use horizontal movements to blend it into the skin. /////

 

(Es.) Cuando uses esta brocha, comienza desde el centro de tu cara hacia el exterior. Ten en cuenta realizar movimientos horizontales para que la base líquida se una a la cara y no se queden residuos. Lo importante es que no se vea demasiada base en la cara, sino que selle y tengas un estilo natural. No queremos excesos.

 

(En.) After use, clean it and protect it. ///// (Es.) Ya sabes que luego de usarla, la sacudes o lavas, secas y guardas.

 

 

(En.) The remaining three brushes are for: Eyeshadow, eyeliner and lip. ///// (Es.) Las tres brochas que quedan son para aplicar la sombra, delineador de ojos y el labial.

 

 

The Eyeshadow Brush //// La brocha para aplicar sombras.

 

 

 

(En.) Use it to spread the eyeshadow across the entire eyelid. Do it gently. ////// 

 

(Es.) La usas para propagar la sombra por todo el párpado. Hazlo con calma y delicadeza. Y tampoco permitas excesos.

 

 

(En.) And when you finish, same process. (clean it and protect it) ///// (Es.) Cuando termines de usarla, ya sabes... el mismo proceso.

 

The fourth is the: Eyeliner Brush //// La cuarta brocha es para el delineador de ojos.

 

(En.) I have never ever had an eyeliner look done. I fear it. The thought of me poking my eye it's just so wrong but present. I will try overcome my fear because I want to look glamorous. Well, for a structured look, first you draw a thin stroke of eyeliner along the upper lash line. You start at the inner corner of the eye. Then, always depending on the look you want, intensify the line near the outer corner of the eye. You should look perfect. //////

 

(Es.) Nunca me he podido hacer algo con un delineador de ojos. No lo puedo usar. Le tengo pánico. Solo la idea de que se me estanque en el ojo o algo me pase al ponerlo.. ¡Uy! No gracias. Pero tengo que superar los miedos y enfrentar los cambios de estilo y belleza como vengan así es que lo usaré. Bueno, para darle una estructura y estilo al ojo, tienes que dibujar primero un poco de delineador en el borde de las pestañas superiores. Comienzas cerca de la esquina interna del ojo. Luego, dependiendo del estilo que quieras lucir, intensificas la línea cerca de la esquina externa del ojo. Te verás estupenda.

 

 

And finally, the Lip brush. //// Y finalmente, la brocha para aplicar el labial. 

 

(En.) Well, this one is a no brainer. You just apply to your lips whatever you want to put in them from the center, outwards. Use the brush to blend the lip liner with the lipstick or gloss. //////

 

(Es.) Bueno, vamos que esto no es una ciencia. Aplicas a tus labios lo que quieras ponerle desde el centro hasta la parte exterior del labio. Usa la brocha para mezclar el delineador labial con el labial o brillo. 

 

(En.) And after you clean them, and protect them, turn over the black cloth and close the travel case. I love it because it has a zipper where you can store makeup or whatever you need like: tissue paper, bandages or anything you like. //////

 

(Es.) Y luego, ya sabes que la lavas y las guardas. Las tienes que cuidar porque son buenísimas. Al cerrarlas, primero las cubres con el forro negro. Me encanta este estuche porque tiene un bolsillo donde puedes guardar cositas pequeñas que necesites. Puedes guardar, por ejemplo, papel (kleenex), curitas, etc.

 

(En.) The makeup tips I gave you were on a booklet Dior sent along with the brushes. I wrote it and shared it because I thought it would be great for people like me, that want to wear makeup but don't know how to do it, have an idea. I also did this review because one of my followers and friend asked me if I could do it.
